This past Saturday, our team at IT Management Solutions had the privilege of joining the Rockland County Repair Cafe in New City, NY to help local residents fix the everyday devices they rely on. Free of charge, no strings attached, just neighbors helping neighbors with technology. People came in from across Rockland County, Westchester County, and the wider Hudson Valley, and we left with a much fuller appreciation for what community really looks like.

One repair that really stuck with us was a laptop that the owner was ready to give up on. It would barely make it through a short task before shutting down. We pulled a full battery report and confirmed the battery was holding roughly 10 percent of its original design capacity. The rest of the laptop was in great shape.
We sent the owner a direct link to the correct replacement battery for their model and offered to install it for them, free of charge, at the next Repair Cafe. A device they thought was dead is going to keep serving them for years. That is the difference a quick laptop battery diagnostic can make.
